UM Open Door

United Methodist Open Door began in 1965 as Urban Ministry of Wichita.  In 2007, it changed its name to United Methodist Open Door.  The agency offers several volunteer opportunities.  To find out more please visit their website or check out the volunteer opportunities they offer at their programs listed below: the Klothes Kloset and the Drop-In Center Meals.

Collecting coats, sweaters, mittens and gloves to donate to the UMC Klothes Kloset, which are then given away to families in the Wichita area.  (Read more) .
Each month, our committee shops for the ingredients, prepares and serves a fresh, hot meal and dessert for about 90 adults at the Drop-In Center in downtown Wichita. Our Pleasant Valley youth group even takes on this project during spring break.  (Read more)
