Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church embarked on a three year debt-reduction campaign to free the church to expand the resources for ministry in the future. To date, the “Igniting Leaders Campaign” has helped reduce the one time 1.2 million dollar debt to under $400,000 since May of 2008. We believe God is truly doing something great with this church as we pay down the debt which was created when Pleasant Valley UMC expanded its facilities and remodeled the Sanctuary and Education Wing. Here is the vision and goals for the Igniting Leaders campaign. Our Goals: Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church is seeking to reach the neighborhood, the city of Wichita and the greater world through a ministry of excellence that develops and deploys great servant leaders for Jesus Christ. How will this happen? *Eliminate the 1.2 million dollar debt. *Free resources to further develop programming in current ministry areas *Provide resources to underwrite leadership opportunities for current and emerging leader to grow and lead within the church and beyond the church *Develop ministry teams with these leaders as well as ministry action plans that transform our neighborhood, city and world for Jesus Christ in a New Century *Develop and enlist paid and volunteer staff to equip “Igniting Leaders for a New Century”
